What I learned from the Lewis & Clark CD

http://rediscovery.ed.uidaho.edu/Resources/cd_rom.asp

I learned that a lot of the people with them were soldiers and only a few were not, like Sacagawea and York.
Sacagawea came when they were at Fort Mandan.
She spoke Shoshoni and had a baby that was also on the journey.
York was Clark's slave.
Charles Floyd died from a problem with his body.

What I liked about the CD was that it had a lot of information about the trip and Lewis and Clark.  I also liked the information where they would also speak the words.  What I learned was a whole lot of stuff.  Like, after the expo a lot of the crew died from Indians.  Some other things were: John Coulter was the best hunter and Cruzatte was the worst.  What I wish it had was more about all of the animals that they saw.  Also, where all the Indian tribes were.

The Lewis and Clark virtual CD is very interesting.  You can see very detailed pictures of where they were and  you can  listen to very interesting entries from their diaries.  Also, you can listen to a description of what they did at each stop they made across the United States to the end of their expedition.  Another thing you can do is listen and learn about some of the people on the expedition and about President Jefferson.

In the CD on Lewis & Clark, I learned a lot.  On the CD I think they should talk more about the forts and people.  They only had a page on the main characters. In the forts section, I didn't fully understand it, otherwise the CD was great.  I really learned a lot and it was quite interesting, like how we got the land and why Napoleon (sold it to us.  We, learned the reason was that Napoleon’s army was wiped out by Yellow Fever, and Napoleon didn't want to lose the land to England.

I learned what animals and plants Lewis and Clark encountered on their journey.  They also met a lot of tribes including the Sioux (http://www.d21.k12.il.us/isu_d21_pds/ss_projects/native_americans/(), Nez Perce( http://www.lewis-clarkvalley.com/indian.htmland) the Shoshone (http://www.pbs.org/lewisandclark/native/sho.html).   I I liked how the CD showed you different spots along the trail like the Missouri Falls.  I wish they had things short little movies where it told you about different parts of the journey.

For the CD rom about Lewis and Clark, I liked the stories and the moving photos! They were exciting. I wish there were more biographies, then I could learn more about the rest of the Party.
